Sony Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* FE 55mm F1.8 ZA 採用全新 FE-mount，擁有 55mm 標準鏡焦距，適用於 A7R / A7 之上，採用 F1.8 大光圈，是拍攝人像、風景的好幫手。

光學設計方面，此鏡用上 5 組 7 片鏡組設計，當中用上 3 片非球面鏡，帶來更佳的畫面。光圈葉為 9 片圓形光圈葉，營造柔和順滑的散焦。 此外，鏡片用上蔡司 T* 鍍膜，有效消除鬼影，提高光學質素。

鏡身以金屬製造，手感札實，鏡頭亦採用防塵防水滴設計，配合 A7R / A7 的機身設計。
